Samsung released a monochrome laser printer that is claimed to be the smallest in the world. ML1660 - thus the name of these products - also ready to tempt users to switch from inkjet to laser printers.

Winny Windiarini, Product Manager for Printers Samsung Electronics Indonesia said, with dimensions of 336 x 114 X 156 mm, the design of ML1660 so succinctly. So that will not take place when it is placed in a room.

"Targeting this printer is for new buyers, we want to tempt them to switch from inkjet printers to laser," he said, in a press conference at the FX Plaza, Jakarta, Wednesday (23/06/2010).

Laser printer market in Indonesia is still far behind than inkjet. In fact, it is said Winny, of the total printer market, only 10% which is a ration of laser printers. Remainder at 90% market share still held injket.

"Indonesia is different from other developed countries which users of laser printers even more," he said.

Under these conditions, Samsung continues to struggle to change people's perspectives on Indonesia in laser printers. ML1660 was issued to tempt users to try the laser printer.

In terms of design, ML1660 is showing a lean shape. Plus a jet-black color as if wrapping a product weighing 4.95 kg was more solid.

ML1660 is the ability to print 16 pages per minute (ppm), while the first page out in less than 8.5 seconds.

Samsung also buried features 'one touch' on the ML1660. As the name implies, this is a quick and easy for users to print what they see on the computer screen with one touch.
