AMD preparing a high-end graphics cards are designed for the workstation market. The card is the ATI FirePro V8800, which according to AMD has pinned Eyefinity technology, with ultra high speed 2GB memory, at speeds twice as powerful than the previous generation.
This new FirePro cards are included with a large frame buffer support 30-bit screen. According to AMD senior vice president Rick Bergman, V8800 is designed for users who work with large data or require high-end computing power.
"Base the latest generation GPU with 1600 stream processors, the ATI FirePro V8800 ultra parallel processing architecture is done by a regulated 2.6 teraflops of compute power of standard and helps maximize throughput by automatically directing graphics power where needed," explained Bergman, told TG Daily, which quoted okezone, Wednesday (7/4/2010).
"The management of computational resources enables enhanced use of the GPU to enable real-time rendering of highly complex models," he added.
With the V8800 graphics card also supports OpenGL 4, OpenCL and DX11, and is ideal for industries that require a computer that 'weight', including SolidWorks.
"Debfab ATI FirePro V8800, users can create realistic designs and fast, and can make changes in real-time," he said.
