The European Commission now doing an investigation into the search engine company Google, after some other search engines complained about the abuse of its dominant position with the company downgraded its competitors in Google search results.

The investigation was conducted after the UK price comparison sites and search engines Foundem French legal issues ejustice.fr filed a formal complaint. Google denied the accusation, but it will cooperate with the European Commission to handle a variety of anxieties that arise.

Previously, the attorney general in the state of Texas, USA, launched a similar investigation after a number of companies, including Foundem, filed a similar complaint. Complaints in both cases these investigations were from companies that blamed rival Google Google manipulates search results.

"The European Commission has decided to open an antitrust investigation of allegations that Google is abusing its dominant position in online search," the commission said.
