Intel Atom N570

Intel announced the new N570 Atom processor and promised to put it in the netbook processor no later than next month.

Described by Intel, the Atom N570 is a dual-core processors capable of running with the ability of 1.66 GHz and 1MB of L2. Meanwhile, the ability to absorb electricity consumption, the processor is only of 8.5 watts. Other capabilities of the Atom N570 is to support DDR3 memory formats.

Asustek Computer, Samsung and Lenovo will be the first laptop that will use Intel's Atom N570 this. The plan, to laptops Intel will be exhibited at the CeBit electronics exhibition in Hanover, Germany.

Later, the netbooks that run with the chip will give the battery life similar to a system running on single core atom processor. Netbook battery life depending on features, screen size and application.

Some netbooks can provide between eight and 12 hours of battery life on the basic activities like Web browsing. But applications that require lots of processing power, such as high-definition graphics, can drain batteries quickly.
