'9 'Is telling a story after the destruction of the world where the machine has destroyed the human race. A small group of living things has been given a life by a scientist on the last day of humanity, and they continue to exist in the post-destruction. With a small number of groups, being 'stitchpunk' must have individual power beyond their proportion against the ferocious engine.
The film was directed by Shane Acker, with producer Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov. In the process, Acker involving approximately 125 animators and 100 employees at Starz Animation Toronto, within 14 months.
To enhance this film, the animators using Autodesk software two, namely Autodesk Maya and Autodesk Mudbox 3D. Maya is used to create this creative camera work and animation, while Mudbox for digital sculpting and texturing.
Virtual camera of this film is positioned only nine inches from the ground floor, to show the world from the perspective of characters. This expanded view of the need of the environment and characters with high detail.
"The challenge is to create the biggest creative close-up view of the strong visual feel. Each stage has a new location with the characters' stitchpunk 'and monsters ready to attack,' said Director at Starz Toronto Fotogradi Kevin Adams.
