Google has just launched a new feature in Gmail service. This unique feature is intended to anticipate the occurrence of any email.
Is nothing new if the user's email service had made a mistake by sending a message to the wrong email address. Though trivial, but these send the wrong course can be embarrassing and disrupt the delivery of the message.
Inspired by this, Yossi Matias Google engineers create a new feature on Google's email service. This new application serves to remind the user will likely misspelled the targeted email address and requires them to check twice before sending it.
"I often receive emails wrong because in my home country, Israel, Yossi very common name," said Yossi was quoted as saying by the Telegraph, Sunday (25/10/2009).
"Therefore, I try to create a feature that can recognize a mistake like this," he added.
Yossi then explained that this system works by analyzing a group of people in regular contact list send an email.
The problem that often arises is that many email systems including Gmail has owned the auto-complete function, which when you type the first letter of the destination email address visible immediately set an email address with the same letter.
As a result, very easy going wrong. For example, when we will send an email to someone named Alan, could have been one click to 'All Staff' which eventually causes us to send this email to all staff in the office.
Gmail feature warns users to avoid these mistakes. This service can be enjoyed by millions of Gmail users around the world.
But unfortunately, this feature only works when someone sends an email to a group of people in the list of email contacts. If the user would send a message only to one person, when they typed the wrong address, the security feature is not active.
