Twitter has updated fromat algorithm that will be used in the Trending feature topics, namely changing the focus of the items addressed to "most breaking" and "popular IMMEDIATELY."
Twitter had been confirmed and justified will make updates to improve the relevance of the topic of trends. In the past, the topic is dominated by a consistent trend of popular items (eg Justin Bieber) with little discussion of the 'hot' at the same time.
"The new algorithm will identify the topics that immediately popular, not a topic that has been popular for a while or every day, to help people find news from all over the world," wrote Twitter in their blogs, which cited Mashable, Sunday (16/05/2010).
Nevertheless, the company also explained that the new algorithm will not block any topic from the trend.
It is basically a response to Justin Beiber fans countless complains that Bieber was no longer a topic of trends.
As is known, the name Justin Beiber Trending always appear in the list of topics. It has become commonplace because of this young singer has millions follower, which mentioned his name in every Tweet.
