Intel Core Processor Released I5

Intel soon released a new processor, Core I5. Intel claims the new processor is promising a new era for desktop computers.

"I5 Core processor is pretty much a typical processor is often used and found on the server to the secondary level. Now, the processor is already available and ready use for your desktop," said General Manager of Intel Australia and New Zealand, Philip Cronin, as quoted from The Age, Tuesday (8/9/2009).

There are some innovations that made Intel. Among them, throwing building blocks of computer processors and reduce its scale to 45 nanometres.

Reductions of this scale contributed to creating a shorter connection and faster between each transistor. As a result, this will increase the processing power because the chip can reach more data in a matter of seconds.

Processor design itself has undergone several changes. Some components are used on a separate chip connected to the processor, there are now on board the same silicon as the processor.

This allows direct connection to the processor and chip upgrade at reducing power. That is, I5 Core chips also are relatively more cost savings than other chips because it has fewer components.

I5 prime Core System will have four processing engines or cores per chip to the main directly doubling the capacity for desktop dual-core processors today.

Along with I5 Core, Intel also will soon bring other core brands to the market. They are I3 and Core Core i7.

Core special I3 target market who want a reliable computer performance but with a limited budget. Core I5 including a middle category of users who want a choice of computer performance Solis. If you are a user category of "real power-user", Intel Core i7 recommend to you
