Cyber crime again threatens the world of banking. Recent cases conducted Zbot Trojan viruses or commonly called 'Zeus', which attacked the verification system Securecode Visa and MasterCard.

Zeus or Zbot reportedly able to infect a computer and download data, including bank accounts, passwords, credit cards and so forth. According to security firm Trusteer, there are 15 banks in the United States was hit by a virus attack. Various important information can be covered by this virus, including a social security card number and personal identification number or PIN.

Data collected will be sent in real time directly to servers run by the virtual Evils. "Some users may be suspicious when asked to enter credit or debit card information as part of the online banking login process," said Trusteer CTO, Amit Klein.

"This attack will usually display the online fraud prevention program used by Visa and MasterCard for making the request looks legitimate," he added.

To avoid such attacks, candidates are required to keep the card user to be careful and always update the antivirus because not all banks will provide compensation for losses suffered without supporting evidence.
