Research In Motion and Adobe Systems Incorporated states that creative professionals and application developers will be able to use Adobe Flash technology platform and Adobe Creative Suite to facilitate content creation and Blackberry applications."There is great opportunity for RIM and Adobe to align our platform that helps developers to create BlackBerry applications that are attractive and integrated," said Jim Balsillie, Co-CEO of Research In Motion in a statement on Saturday (14/11/2009).
"We are working intensively with Adobe that enables our developer community to build content-rich services and BlackBerry widget runtime environment utilizing the latest, APIs and services through a network of development tools and industry-leading design from Adobe," Balsillie added.
In the meantime, Shantanu Narayen, president and CEO, Adobe said, RIM has encouraged innovation in the smartphone, and is a natural thing to do if further integration platform.
The latest version of Adobe Creative Suite started with Adobe Creative Suite 5 will give designers the ability to optimize assets to create graphics, such as images and video content, from tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe After Effects for the Blackberry platform.
This graphic assets can be easily imported into the application development tools including Blackberry Blackberry JDE Plug-in for Eclipse and Blackberry Web Plug-in for Eclipse for use in applications and user interfaces. Backgrounds, icons and images created with Adobe tools such as Adobe Photoshop, which will also be used in the BlackBerry Theme Studio.
Software Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Fireworks and Adobe Device Central will also be possible to support the manufacture and testing BlackberryWidgets and web content optimized for the Blackberry Browser. In addition users will be able to directly import photos and video on their BlackBerry smartphone and edit them using Adobe's consumer offerings, including Photoshop Elements and Photoshop.com.
