Sony to Add-ons on the PS3

Sony reportedly plans to add Firefox Mozilla on Playstation 3 gaming device. This news blows based on information from PlayStation Insider spokesman.

According to the source close to Sony that, these days they are intense communication with the associated possibility for Mozilla add-ons on the PS3.

"Our sources say that they did not reach an agreement. It seems that this will be good news since Sony had the manner about the PS3 web browser," the spokesman was quoted as saying the PlayStation Insider from TG Daily, Friday (20/11/2009).

Please note, the PS3 actually has the ability to run the Linux operating system, though Sony has the option to disable the feature to run other operating systems on the PS3 version of the Slim.

Sony spokesperson said John Koller Linux capabilities are intentionally omitted because of several reasons he did not explain.

"We want to more forward with the operating system we have now. If anyone wants us to use the old model and change our operating system, could have. But certainly, we want to standardize our operating system," explained Koller.
