Wii video games are known to gamers as the game gestures sweat as the game turned out to be quite healthy.

According to research by the American Heart Association (AHA), as quoted by Yahoo Tech, Tuesday (17/11/2009), some sports games in the Wii, like Wii Fit Series, was able to spend a lot of energy, like exercise conducted in the real world.

"The movement in this virtual sports quite easy to do. In fact this game could be a nice early stages to get used to exercising," said Motohiko Miyachi from the AHA.

The study also found that approximately one third of all activity in these games, including Wii Sports and Wii fit, able to spend more energy than 3.0 MET.

MET itself is an abbreviation of metabolic equivalent values, a standard method for estimating energy expenditure.

Although the scientists did not give the conclusion of the health impact of this game but Miyachi speculate, the more often someone playing this game the more they are prevented from diseases of the heart and muscles.

The game is considered the most effective in the Wii is a single-arm that can stand to spend approximately 5.6 MET. In addition, the Wii boxing game is also able to issue approximately 4.5 MET. Another case with Wii tennis and baseball are capable of producing approximately 3.0 MET, compared to the Wii golf game that only produce 2.0 MET.
