35% of Social Network Members Have a Twitter Account

Sharing update status through the social networking services like Twitter or Facebook has become an increasingly popular activity for Americans.

Conducted a survey Pew Internet and American Life Project in August and September mention, approximately 20 percent of Internet users admitted using Twitter and Facebook to share the latest updates about themselves.

Apparently, this percentage increased significantly from the survey in December 2008 and April 2009 which stated, there are approximately 11 percent of Internet users who regularly update their status.

Pew survey also noted 35 percent of Internet users who already have an account at social networking sites MySpace, Facebook or LinkedIn, recorded using Twitter as well. Such information is quoted from PC World, Thursday (22/10/2009).

In addition, this survey was trying to find the uniqueness associated with the relationship between the number of online tools that one has the possibility to post their tweet.

Thirty-nine percent of Internet users with four or more devices connected to the web such as laptops, mobile phones, gaming devices, or eBooks using Twitter. Two pulu eight percent of users Twitter has three devices online, 19 percent have two gadgets and there are only 10 percent have just one online tool.

More and more online tools that they have the more often they can post a tweet or update the current status wherever they are.

The survey was conducted on 2253 participants aged 18 years and over with the error margin plus or minus approximately 2.3 percentage points.
