McAfee antivirus companies reported several countries have prepared 'weapons' are complete to start cyber war.
"We have warned the public about the plan of some countries in the world are racing to prepare cyber weapons, since two years ago. But this time we are seeing evidence that more and more to make it as a reality," said President and Chief Dave DeWalt McAfee excecutive like quoted by AFP on Wednesday (18/11/2009).
According to DeWalt, some countries in the world are actively developing and preparing for cyber war, whether it was the preparation of weapons and assault. DeWalt even believe that to look out for and fear now is not nuclear weapons but a virtual weapon.
"Everyone should be vigilant and try to avoid these virtual attacks. Among the countries that are developing 'cyber weapons' are China, France, Israel, Russia and the U.S.," said DeWalt.
DeWalt added, this is evidenced by the increasing cyber attacks into the White House's internal network, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the secret agent.
McAfee identified, public infrastructure such as electricity generation, transportation, telecommunications, finance and water providers are fairly weak targets and preferred by cyber criminals.
"Most developing countries have a common infrastructure that is connected to the internet but is equipped with security functions so weak that the network is easy to broken," said DeWalt.
McAfee also warned of cyber attacks that occurred not only able to damage the computers there but also can cause damage and death in the real world.
