Indosat to bring the two winners' work Indosat Wireless Innovation Contest (IWIC) 2009 category Android-Based Application to the international arena.
Both athletes will compete in the applications arena Android application program development by Conexus Mobile Alliance, which will be held at the Grand Ballroom, Harbor Plaza, Hong Kong on November 17.
This work is two of the 13 finalists were selected from the entire Asia Pacific region that will display the international event. Conexus Mobile Alliance was one of the largest mobile alliances in Asia, which aims to develop and enhance international roaming and mobile services for customers of the alliance member companies, including Indosat.
Conexus Mobile Alliance campaign to introduce Android Application Development Program is to equitably participating countries in June 2009, in order to encourage and promote the Android platform and also to find the best Android developers in Asia Pacific.
Companies in Asia Pacific who participated took part in this program include Far EasTone (Taiwan), Indosat (Indonesia), KT Corporation (Korea), NTT DoCoMo (Japan), Smart Communications (Philippines), StarHub (Singapore), and TrueMove (Thailand).
IWIC event earlier in 2009 some time ago, Indosat's open Android Based Application category. Winners of this category will present his work in the Alliance Forum Regional Conexus Mobile Operators.
"The competition will be Android application development delivery of innovative mobile applications and ease of use, which can increase mobile data traffic in the Asia Pacific region. The proposed work for this competition demonstrates the ability and potential of mobile application development in Indonesia and across Asia Pacific," said Chairman of Conexus Mobile Alliance, Dr B Kaizad Heerjee, in his statement, Monday (14/11/2009).
Kaizad is also Director and Chief Commercial Officer Indosat explained, the assessment criteria used by all operators in selecting these 13 finalists include innovation and originality, the experience offered to users, potential commercial, consumer interests, and the ability to program public use in the market local.
